What is SUP ?

Picture
Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the hottest water sports today.  Once you try it, it will be easy to understand why. It is a cross between canoe paddling and long-board surfing. SUP’ing is easy to learn, fun, healthy and can be done anywhere there is a body of water.

To get involved in SUP’ing all you need is a paddleboard, a paddle and you! Stand on the board and use the paddle to move around in the water. Once you’re up on your SUP board, no matter who you are, you’ll find you’ve left all your cares, worries and stress behind you on the land. There’s nothing like it!

Why SUP?

1. Fun & Easy (The Spirit)
Paddleboarding is one of the most exciting sports you will try, guaranteed! If you can stand up, you can SUP which makes it great for anyone from age 3 to 93! No special skills are needed and it’s for those who have never considered getting on a surf board to those who make surfing a way of life. It's why SUP’ing is the fastest growing sport on the planet.

2. Health Benefits (The Body)
Feel good and look great. SUP’ing is an awesome full body workout, focusing on the core while offering an anaerobic workout too. It brings the same results of doing pilates and running at the same time by burning an average of 800 calories/hr while improving your balance.

3. Relax and Revitalize (The Mind)
SUP’ing is one of the most relaxing and meditative sports you can do. Some describe it as "walking on water". We tend to agree. There's nothing quite as relaxing as watching the sunset across the water from your SUP board. On a calm day, the feeling as you glide across the water is one of meditative calm.

4. Commune with Nature (The Soul)
While paddling, you become immersed in the moment allowing you to connect with nature from the most perfect viewpoint, with the water under your feet. There is something about the sense of freedom and power you get when you're on a SUP board. Most addictive things are bad for you - not this one! We guarantee, get up on your board and after only 5 minutes you'll be totally hooked.

5. Connect with Others and Yourself (The Social)
With SUP, you can spend meditative time alone, or share the fun with friends. Since SUP’ing is simple to learn and lots of fun, it’s an awesome way to spend time as a family. There’s no way your kids will get bored when SUP’ing with you.  All you need is your SUP, your paddle and you can travel anywhere for some great recreational and leisure activities for the whole family.
